Values

The values of cryptocurrencies and TUSH used by Tushpage.com fluctuate daily, and may differ significantly from their actual values.

Cryptocurrency Values

The values of cryptocurrencies can fluctuate wildly over the course of a day, or even minute to minute. In order to maintain some stability in pricing, the values of the cryptocurrencies accepted by Tushpage are calculated and posted daily at 12:05 AM New York Time and remain in effect for 24 hours regardless of any changes in their actual values that day.

These values are used to determine the cost in cryptocurrency to purchase things on this website, such as advertising. This is why it might cost 3400 New York Coin to purchase an ad one day, but only 3000 New York Coin the next. This is done to balance the fluctuating value of cryptocurrencies against the need to keep costs relatively predictable. The more a unit of cryptocurency is worth, the less that will be required to purchase something, which is why it might cost 3000 New York Coin to purchase an ad, but only 0.000002 of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is worth a lot more per unit than New York Coin.

How Cryptocurrency Values Are Calculated

There are a number of cryptocurrency aggregators on the internet such as Coingecko and Nomics where you can get the value in American dollars (and other traditional currencies) of many cryptocurrencies. Tushpage uses the values of one or more of these aggregators to determine the values used here.

Prices over the course of a number of days (usually, but not necessaily 4 to 10 days) are obtained at random intervals, weighted and averaged to come up with a price used for the current day, which is posted at 12:05 AM Eastern (New York Time) daily. If a cryptocurrency's value is appreciating quickly, you will likely notice the price quoted as "today's value" is lower than what aggregators are reporting. Conversely, if the value of a cryptocurrency is dropping quickly, you might see "today's value" is higher than you might expect.

Therefore the prices quoted by Tushpage for any given day may differ significantely from the actual value of that cryptocurrency. The goal is to use "fair" prices which represent the average of recent prices, and eliminate out-of-the-ordinary price swings.

The "Value" of TUSH

TUSH is not an actual cryptocurrency. It can viewed as just "points" given out to users for free for various reasons on this website and can be used just like actual cryptocurrencies you may deposit into your Tushpage account.

The value of TUSH is simply and arbitrarily pegged at whatever value New York Coin is.

Values Rise and Fall

As stated above, the values of cryptocurrencies rise and fall. So you should note, if you are holding cryptocurrency or even TUSH in your account, and its value goes up, you can benefit from that. And the opposite if values go down of course.
